"BURN THE SHIPS!" ?

"BURN THE SHIPS!"

I see a lot of questions on Bigger Pockets regarding saving money to get in to real estate. When I first got into real estate I was financially at the lowest point of my young life. For detail all in the same year; I totaled my car, I had to move in with family, struggling in college, employed as a Janitor with no clue to what the heck I was doing. Living with family aloud me to save 10K to buy my first property. With the 1519 mindset of "Burn The Ships," I was able to get my first property, which is now renovated and worth around 75K. The equity in the first property provided a way to use the BRRR method and uplift my rental portfolio.

Relating to Captain Cortes' way of motivation to his sailors. Sometimes when given no other options is the best motivation. I can't imagine if Cortes never directed to burn his sailors ships or myself to get to that low point.

Does Anyone like the logic behind "BURN THE SHIPS" ?
