Running comps using online portals

Hello everyone, I'm doing my daily search on the online portals (Zillow, Trulia, ETC). Got me thinking about running comps, is it accurate to use these sites to compare or should I be using a realtor to run comps for me? I have criteria that I use but it is pretty general. Any insight is greatly appreciated!
