I'm hearing about rapid price rises in some markets, such as FL, parts of CA of course, and I know in our market, prices on our properties are up 30-50% approximately in the last year.

What's going on where you are? 

Downturns tend to help how I invest now, but the last downturn didn't help me when I had houses with mortgages. To say the least!
