Transferring My License to a New Broker

I found a real estate office I would really like to work for, but I have a deal in escrow that will not close for the next 40 days. Is there a way to sign a new contract and safeguard my current deal so I don't lose my commission? My contract states if I leave the office, I lose any deals in escrow. However, the new broker tells me I can leave and still get my commission if the old broker and I agree to it in writing. Does that sound like a good plan, or should I wait?

I think you should wait, if your commission is at risk. As soon as that deal closes, you're free as a bird to go wherever you want.
