Excessive development of apartments in NJ

I build elevators in NY/NJ and while NYC is busy with all the high rises going up in Hudson yards, NJ is also very busy with apartment complexes. Anywhere from 2 stories up to 50. All over the state they are popping up, especially in towns where the trains run directly into Manhattan. My question for those who live in NJ is what do you think the large influx of apartment buildings means for the real estate market?
