As a couple others have mentioned, I would really try to educate yourself on real estate, get an idea of what niche you like the best, and really try to dig into it more with more intermediate/advanced books or other resources. (There are a lot of resources here on BP alone.) I would also try to learn your market as much as you can as well. Hope this helps, best of luck!

Listen to every single podcast episode from Bigger pockets, read all their books, and go to every networking event in your area. You basically want to be a sponge and look for opportunities where you can trade your hustle/time for knowledge, coaching, or finances. The biggest thing is just to fill your head with Real Estate 24/7 and get around like-minded people.

@Robert Ciaramello Yes. A parent can help you get started. A parent can help you start building credit early. A parent can create an LLC with you and the LLC can purchase a property. You can connect with tradesmen to learn about putting in flooring, electrical, plumbing, roofing, etc. There are a ton of things you can do depending on your resources (the people you know), your work ethic, and your willingness to hustle.

Not legally. I would say save up every dollar for the next year until you turn 18 and read, read, read.

About reading, I am a terrible reader, so I can imagine at your age reading books would not be easy... I can give you a good tip on that.

Download the Alexa app on your phone, and the Kindle app.

You can find every single book there is on real estate investment in amazon for kindle, usually bellow $10, and once you have the book bought and download on your kindle app, you can ask Alexa to read it for you.

By listening the book while you read it on the app, you can concentrate more, retain more, and keep a longer time focus on it.

I have basically read 4 to 5 books per month doing this... So imagine yourself in a year, with 50 real estate and business book in your head!

Yes you can get started at 17.   I did and did well.  Of course my father was a R.E. broker and he signed everything and I did the work ( labor).  Legally you must be 18.

Get your money saved and work with credit.  Google how to boost your credit. Keep monies in bank and after 6-12 months approach bank manager and ask for a loan.  Put that money in your account and pay it for about 4 months and pay it off early.  Boost credit rating sometimes up to 50 points!

Save your  money while your living with your parents, work 1,2,or even 3 jobs.  Get your high school accomplished and hope we are not all wearing mask!!!

@Shiloh Lundahl good mention with the credit. If you haven’t already opened a credit card, do it  even if it’s just a $500 limit. You have to start building your credit. So much if the leverage you will want to utilize will be dependent on a good credit score.
