Pre-screening tenants online?

Hey folks,

I'd like to ask tenant applicants to go through an online credit check and background check process, which they would pay for. I would want the reports to be delivered to me so that I can select which applicants to show the unit to.

I would want all of this to happen before I even correspond with the applicant.

What platforms are best for this?

My Smart Move is the best online screening option in my opinion. Like Cameron mentioned, requiring screening that the applicant pays for before even showing the unit can make it hard to get renters. If you want to screen before showing the unit, requiring a basic free application is typically what I recommend. You can then require paid screening after the prospective tenant views the rental, if they decide they're serious. Having some sort of free application before showing the rental can be helpful in getting more serious inquiries, while saving you time when it comes to showings.
