Contacting Home Owners

I am just starting out... Just wondering if a property is in foreclosure or pre-foreclosures, and the owners do not reside at the property, how do you go about finding out the contact information on the home owner?

@Dawn Smith There is probably a public record site in your state to find out who the owner is. Once you know who the owner is the hard part is finding them.

Just Google people finder or similar terms and a ton of sites will come up. Keep in mind you will have to pay to find people. The free sites usually just refer you to a pay site. The term for finding people like this is "skip Tracing"

I use a professional service called accurint it is about $150 a month. Private Eye.com is less and you can get a one day pass for a very modest amount. In some cases it is worth paying for a private detactive to find people.
