I've seen bandit signs. Why are they hated?

@Al Anderson Im perfectly fine using the "lame" and "low-end" marketing techniques!  $750.00 worth of bandit signs made me a hair over $100k in the last 12 months.. totally low end and lame right?! lol No one else in my area uses them consistently and the city has no issue with them..so why not?
