replacement roof $7900 for 1000sf rancher

I thought it might be interesting to share that we are replacing a roof on one of our 1000sf SFH, the contractor that I use for most of our construction work quoted me $7900 (cash) to remove old shingles, put on new, haul trash away. The last time I did one of these (2016) it was closer to $4,000.

Agreed. For a roofing repair of that size, $7900 seems close to the high-mid range for some of the projects we've done recently in NC.
