Looking for Advice on Tenant Access for Township Inspection

Hi everyone, I’d appreciate some input. Our township scheduled a mandatory inspection for this coming Monday. As you can imagine, a few tenants have work schedules that make coordinating entry difficult, and there are also one or two who tend to avoid cooperating.

Since the township sets the date and time. I was considering posting a notice on each unit door reminding tenants of the inspection and the required access.

Does hanging a notice on each door make sense in this situation? If so, what wording would be most effective? And if anyone has better suggestions or has dealt with this before, I’d really like to hear what worked for you.

Thanks in advance.

Are you planning on entering the units regardless of tenant cooperation?  Or trying to get them on board on their own?

If the former need to 100% make sure you are following your state/county laws and the lease language regarding notification for entering the unit without the tenant present.

If the latter and your won't be entering the unit then the form of notice doesn't matter, but would advise several contact methods to get as many on board as possible.

Thanks, what do you mean with "but would advise several contact methods to get as many on board as possible" ?

Send notice via phone call, text, email, mail, etc.   Increase your chance of them seeing it in time.
