PM To Do Board

Tim Kirk
Posted

I'm a visual, must write stuff down, TO DO list type of person. I self manage our rental properties and I recently hung a TO DO board in my garage. Does anyone have a similar job board you use to plan ahead and stay on top of regular maintenance items, etc for each property? If yes, can you share a photo of your board. I have yet to decide how I would like to lay mine out. Thanks

Love the idea — visual boards work great for self-managing.

    Simple layout that works:

    Columns:

    • This Week
    • Scheduled
    • Waiting (tenant/vendor)
    • Completed

Use one row per property or color-code tasks by property. On each card write: property, task, budget, deadline, vendor.

Add a small side section for recurring items (HVAC filters, inspections, renewals).

The key is tracking status, not just tasks — that’s what keeps things moving.
