finding support with rental management when you fell into it unexpectedly

Hello all,

Has anyone here come into rental management by accident- meaning you received the property/properties through inheritance related to a spouse's unexpected death?

If yes, did you have support in figuring out how to manage- if no, how did you find support?

In my particular situation- my spouse passed before he was 40. I worked in a completely different career, but needed to learn once he died. I have found that people who earned their properties one by one through pain and suffering tend to not care what others thinks and feel secure in their situation. For me, I found that suddenly receiving the properties made others around me more jealous and many really only saw the reward (financial stability) and not the work involved. So I tend to not share about any of it to most people- which means that I deal with everything alone and feel the need to keep it to myself even when it's really hard. I wasn't sure if anyone can relate or give suggestions on how I can find more support. I have been self managing for years now- so it's not that I have no experience. I am regularly educating myself, but I still find certain aspects of management to be very challenging (dealing with confrontation with tenants, and managing my records). In my social circle and my first career- most people don't own or manage rentals- so it's not easy to relate to those around me.v I have my real estate license, and go to REIA meeting when I am able. Thanks
