Cost of having water metered separately

Hi Everyone!

I understand this will be dependent on my area, but I was wondering what you paid to have the water metered separately?

Also, who would I reach out to about having the water metered separately?

I'm working to purchase a duplex where the water is paid by the current owner, and I'm looking to gather what is has cost for others to have the water metered separately for each tenant.

Sounds complicated, just add a50/month water fee on top of their rent
