How to Identify FSBO Property Owners?

Hello,

I am currently evaluating several properties and one that piqued my interest is listed for sale by owner. I managed to find info on the property on the county website and it looks like the last transfer happened from an LLC to a trust. How do I determine who the owner is so I can make contact?

If a property is for sale by owner, their contact information should be public. You can find owners of an LLC via corporation wiki.

The County Clerk should have a record of the deed transfer. That would be the one to contact but realize it takes a little time for things to be processed and paid. You can just ask, if they are the owners when you make contact.

You are working much to hard. All you have to do is connect with those doing deals out there, I buy and sell monthly ( about 500 over the last 7, 9  years ) I can get as many as I want.

Interesting how a FSBO listing has no owner or contact info.

You have a couple of options:

1. Reach out to a local real estate agent who has MLS access.

2. Speak with someone with access to PropStream or a similar program.

I’m not local, but I do have PropStream access.

Look up the property address on the county’s property tax home page. The owner is listed there.

@Srdjan Raic Zillow has a lot of bad info…..it sounds like it is not actually actively for sale. If you google the address and don’t see an offer for sale with a price and contact info….it is not for sale.

Where did you find the fsbo?

Generally from my experience, if a fsbo is listed online (on Zillow for example) , their contact info should be provided.
