First time home buying in Dallas

I am a senior in college and accepted a job that will require me to relocate to Dallas, TX in the summer of 2022. I would like to look at purchasing a house for my small family to start out in. I am a first-time home buyer and just wanted to get some advice. If I plan on moving to Dallas sometime late June/early July 2022, when should I start working with a lender to see what we could be approved for? How early should I reach out to a realtor about possible properties we are interested in?

Any info is greatly appreciated!
