Is BPCON worth attending?

Saw the BPCON23 event and wondering if it's worth attending. It's quite pricey to attend, but I feel like it would be a great place to network and find opportunities. Wondering if it's better suited for retail investors / institutional investors, agents or buyers, real estate companies or independents, etc. Any REAL and UNBIASED reviews of this event would be appreciated!

Yes and No.

Yes: I went to the Rookie Boot Camp in 2022.  It was a well organized event.  All the break-out classes/talks were awesome.  The main events were also inspirational.  It was definitely like drinking from a fire hose as far as the amount of information.  You will meet a bunch of people that are also stoked on real estate in various stages of the game.

No: They're expensive, like very.  Con itself, Food, Hotel, Transportation, etc.  It's a LOT of money.  Will you necessarily capitalize from this "investment" in yourself/business? . .maybe.  There's also "con crud" - it's a thing - especially in this COVID era.  BP has four different channels on Youtube that ALL share ALL of this information for free.  BP Money, BP Rookie, On The Market, and the standard Bigger Pockets podcast.  Then you can break out into Brandon Turner's podcast or David Greene's or Rob Appecheli's or Pace Morby's. . .All free.  TONS of free info.

Also, you can most likely find a local REI meet-up (or start one).  Then you will get to know folks actually doing the work in your area.  Lenders, real estate agents, other investors, etc.

You do get a "free" t-shirt at BP Con. One that proves you were there, that you heard of them first. . .
