As we know, if you’re looking at rental properties in the Charlotte market, vacancy is an important piece of the investment puzzle.

Here’s a quick look at a few local areas:

  • 28078 (Huntersville): 4% vacancy
  • 28027 (Concord): 5% vacancy
  • 28104 (Matthews/Weddington area):  5% vacancy

Low vacancy can be a strong indicator of rental demand, but it’s only one part of the equation. Purchase price, rental rates, taxes, insurance, property management, and your overall investment strategy all need to be considered when analyzing a deal.

Thinking about investing in the Charlotte area? Don’t just buy a property—buy based on the numbers.
