Hi,

I will be attending the University of Chicago and am looking to purchase a duplex-triplex to house-hack. Does anyone have recommendations for safe neighborhoods within 20-30 minutes of the school? 

So far, talking to people, they mentioned Bridgeport/China town/South loop. Haven’t heard great things about Pilsen.

I recommend exploring Bridgeport, McKinley Park, Brighton Park, Lower West Side, Marshall Square, and Canaryville.
