House Hacking Location & Advice

Hey all,

I am heavily considering house hacking as my first investment vehicle upon graduation from college. I have listened to many episodes of the BiggerPockets podcast regarding peoples experiences, but would love to learn even more before getting involved. I was wondering if anyone has any advice or would be willing to share their experience with me. I was also curious about the best locations to house hack if there are any (could be a specific location or just a general region). Any advice would be extremely helpful! Thanks all and have a good day.

House hacking is a great idea! I am not certain of the best places to do it. I would say wherever you are working if you have a full time job, would be a good place to start.

I house hacked for about 9 months using Airbnb, renting out the master bedroom and living in the guest bedroom. This ended up paying for most of the mortgage and allowed me to save a down payment for the next one!
