House hack funding.
How would someone go about getting a pre-approval letter for a house hack. Its a double currently we would keep that but live in one side fix that then switch. Would like to figure out how to get a pre approval letter so we can take the next steps. Any information would be helpful. Prefer information from others who have done this themselves.

@Laura Shinkle can you share more about the 1yr lease in writing? how would you sort out lease terms (ex: start date) if the property isn't purchased yet? Or is it more so having a prospective tenant with a flexible start date?
