Furnished Finder/ Medium Term Rental

Hello - do those that use Furnished Finder or perform 30-90 day rentals typically require their tenants to get renter's insurance? I'm getting some push back from a potential tenant that she's never done that before on air bnb MTR's. However, I know renter's insurance protects her items AND mine if damage is done to my property by the renter. Thoughts?

I don't, but I probably have $5-6k all in for furnishings and supplies at my mid term rental. I have 4 years of rental history with about $500 in damage/replacements. That tenant's security deposit covered the entire amount.

It's low enough risk for me that I'm fine to chalk that up to the cost of doing business if something were to happen over and above the deposit amount.
