Denver Midterm Rental Question

Emma Kinross
Posted

Hi, I'm a current midterm furnished rental operator in Denver, specifically in Capitol Hill. I had no idea what I was doing when we started, and honestly, after I figured out how to actually analyze deals for profitability, I think the only thing that saved my rental is that I have a background in Interior Design and it's a very sought after, current style of furnishing. We currently cash flow $700/month after all expenses.

However, we moved back to Oregon and I'm too much of a control freak to keep managing it from afar. I'm wondering if a market exists for selling all the...stuff from the apartment? I spent so much time sourcing high quality furniture and housewares and now that I'm trying to offload it all, I don't know how to find the people I need to find who might be interested. It doesn't feel like I should have to fly to Denver to clear it out myself. I would think there's someone out there who would really value being able to buy all the furnishings and housewares needed for a 2 bedroom set up, all in one go, for one flat price.

Does anyone have any ideas for finding those people? I'm not linked up in the Denver real estate world, whatsoever. I'm kind of a crazy person who did a travel contract as an SLP in Denver, sent a few emails, and a rental landed in my lap and I just ran with it full speed. I don't really know how this all works. I mean, I know I could just call someone to pick everything up and clear it out but that seems like an extremely expensive waste.

Let me know if anyone has any ideas!
