Hi

The neighbor rental is next to my rental. A large limb fell and busted my roof. I cannot find the owner as the address tax records are in an llc with no contact info and the office address on the data doesn’t exists.  What should i do? Can i place a lien on their property or what do i do without no way to find the landlord ?

@Josh D. turn it in to your insurance and they will deal with the neighbors insurance. In most states he has to be negligent to be respondsible. So it it was a dead tree you complained about then you have a case.  Just a passing storm you are unlikely to have a case.   Anything about your property in most states you have the right to cut it.  A few states the situation may be different.
