LLC or no LLC?

Gary Tucci
Posted

Hi,

We just purchased our first long term rental in the Cleveland, OH area a few months ago and was wondering if it was a must to take out of our name and move to an LLC? If so, is that process easy enough for a rookie to manage? Thanks for all the help.

Did you buy the deal with a conventional loan or dscr? I'm guessing conventional or cash since it is in your name. You can quit claim it into an LLC.

I have a good attorney that can do this for you. I typically put about 10 properties or so in an LLC. You can have an umbrella insurance policy to cover.
