Investor Spotlight - Beau Elkington
Beau Elkington:
Before breaking into the fix-and-flip market, Beau Elkington found himself surrounded by influences that led him into real estate from a young age. Elkington’s father, a commercial real estate developer, played a role in the redevelopment of Beale Street, while his brother is a Vista Home builder and a recognized 40 Under 40 honoree. With these influences, it was clear Elkington had the guidance to succeed as an investor.
Elkington originally got his start working as his brother’s assistant, quoting repairs. Through this experience, he learned what it truly takes to successfully flip a home.
In January 2025, Elkington came across Avalon while searching for a local hard money lender. The following day, he spoke with the Avalon team and knew from the beginning it was a strong match. He values the family-oriented approach Avalon provides and appreciates that Avalon genuinely wants its investors to succeed.
“One of the things I really admired and appreciated is that from the jump, Avalon goes out and looks at the property beforehand. National lenders don’t do that. Y’all come out, make sure it’s a good deal, and look out for our best interest.”
Partnering with a local hard money lender gives investors the opportunity to work with a team that has the local knowledge needed to help an investment succeed. Having the ability to physically see the property and understand the area adds an additional layer of protection.
Avalon is thankful for borrowers like Elkington who trust the team with their investments and continue to grow alongside them. Avalon is proud to highlight Beau Elkington as this week’s Investor Spotlight.
