As I’m beginning to wholesale I’m trying door knocking for the first time this week, but I’m confused on what to say to the seller.

you may not see it immediately right now, but I am going to help you.

Let me answer your question with another question. Go on with me for a moment.

The question is this:

What made you decide to knock on doors?

What made me decide was the fact that i needed to get out there and look for deals, but also to get familiarized with it. I’m very new to wholesaling and I’ve been getting advise saying that i have to be hunger for deals/ i have to get out there and do something/ be creative.

Have you heard the saying, Any action is better than No action?

Well that is BS.

So I was asking why doorknocking.

Why not Facebook ads, why not bandit signs, why not cold calling, why not PPC?

You are brand new to this, correct, so randomly doing anything without proper validation is like running blindly trying to find a moving target.

So again,

Why did you specifically pick doorknocking? What to you is making door knocking better than everything else?

Because the two biggest wholesalers in Phoenix, which both do wholesaling around the country and use all marketing channels, including SEO, say openly that "90% of new people get their first deal knocking on doors". It's the first deal that gives you proof of concept and the positive feedback to keep you going.

It's not because it's the most efficient, necessarily, but because new people don't have months to wait for SEO leads.
