What is Wholetailing?

Hey Fellow Investors, I am starting my investing journey with vigor but lacking knowledge. I've heard of wholesaling but what exactly is wholetailing and is it better than wholesaling? Thank you

Pretty much you buy a property, then quickly sell it to another buyer without making any significant improvements or repairs. The point is to profit by finding a great deal on a property, then passing the deal on to another investor willing to pay more.

Both of the prior answers are kind of right but not really.

The best wholetail is not just a quick turn. Wholetail is different because you buy it and take title to it. There is no bridge loan. You own it until you sell it.

To make the most money as a wholetail you want to fix unattractive things (at low cost) and clean and spruce up the appearance as a whole. You always hire professional cleaners if it's an old person's home and construction cleaners if it's a disaster area. This, in and of itself, will allow you to market it and sell it for more. If there is a leak, you may choose not fix it, but to plug. You take away all of the eyesores that you can in a one to two week period so you can rebrand a wholesale (off the market) as a market sale (on the market) to an investor.

Wholetailing is like wholesaling with a twist. You buy a property at a discount, do minimal work (if any), and then resell it quickly for a profit. Unlike flipping, you don’t do big renovations—just enough to get it market-ready for a fast sale. It’s a way to make money without doing as much work as traditional flipping.
