What's your first "gut check" filter when looking at a tax‑delinquent property?

I've been pulling tax records in Ohio, and I'm trying to sharpen my initial screening process.

Right now, my first two filters are:

· Is the owner an individual (not government or bank)?

· Is there any forfeiture or sheriff sale in the transfer history?

If either of those is off, I usually move on.

What's your very first "gut check" filter before you dig deeper? Something quick that saves you from wasting time on dead leads.

@Okechukwu Treasure C Glad it clicked. That two-pass approach, years-delinquent first then manual IRS check on the priority ones, is exactly how I screen before committing any real research time. Saves a lot of hours on properties that don’t pass the first filter. Good luck with the workflow, feel free to tag me if you run into anything specific on a deal.
