Question about my buyer coming with a realtor and Commision fees?

This is new to me because I normally have investors who look at my wholesale deals but I've gotten to calls from buyers who want two actually live in the property and fix it.  How does it work with commision fees?  I've had one realtor ask me if I was ok paying a commision and I was taken back?  Sorry if this is dumb question.  Just looking for a little insight on if I should steer away from non investors or what.

Thanks

Generally, when an agent list a property for sale the list the commission that is to be split, usually 6%.  Since you are basically the selling agent, you don't have to worry about your half.  I'd say sure, offer them 2-2.5%.  If it gets a deal closed and your numbers work out in the end, then why not.  Might open some new doors to you.
