Wholesaling in the UK?

Hi, I live in the south coast of England, United Kingdom. I have done a lot of research about the 'Wholesale' property investing technique. The reason I am highly interested in this technique is down to the fact that it can be done with no money savings. However, all of the info i found was from America/Canada. I watched lots of YouTube videos about wholesaling and none of them were from the Uk. I am curious as to wether this is just an american thing or does it also work in the United Kingdom? Thank you.
