When you contact an RE agent to help find you deals for wholesaling do you pay them a commission or do they get a commission from the end buyer when the deal closes?

If you are wholesaling deals from MLS, ( very difficult ) they get paid their commission at closing. If it's off market, why would you need a RE agent? Anyway, you can work out some type of payment with them.
