Starting out in Wholesaling

Good evening everyone! I have decided I want to start learning about wholesaling, I've been reading a ton of discussions on here but what books would you recommend I read? I know one national wholesaler that I am going to get in contact with and see if I can learn a little from him. Also, is there a specific website I can go to, to look at the laws for each state? I live in SC across the river from Augusta, GA. Any advice on SC and GA would be great.

Hey @Jebo Aho regardless of where you are from or what part of the country you live in there are five skills every wholesaler needs to develop.  They are marketing; estimating repairs; contracting; appraisals; and negotiations.  All of your learning should be focused on developing those skills.  Second, think systems.  Develop systems for key activities that need to regularly happen in your business.  For example I block schedule writing yellow letters to abandon properties everyday.  I developed tool kits and processes to increase my bandit signs marketing by 500%.  Last, put every lead into a customer relationship management system (CRM).  All the best leads are in the follow up.  Sellers' motivation changes so follow up and follow up some more.

Given that there are some books I think you should read.  However, they are not necessarily about wholesaling. They are about business development and what it means to be an entrepreneur.  And why marketing should be your number one priority when first starting out.  Here are a couple of my favorites:

1.  Ready, Fire, Aim by Michael Massterson

2.  The E-Myth by Micheal Gerber

3.  The 4 Hour Work Week by Tim Ferriss

Hope this helps.
