Bandit Signs in New Jersey?

Hey everyone, My business partner and I are considering a bandit sign campaign to generate some leads in the Ocean/Monmouth county section of New Jersey. Can anybody speak to the successfulness/legality of this type of marketing in the area? In all honesty I don't think I've ever seen a sign of this nature anywhere in the state (which may be the answer to my question). Thanks!
