Questions about whole selling

Hi everyone. My wife and I are currently starting to get into real estate investing and are wanting to get into whole selling. I understand the basics of the process, find a property for a big discount and then sell it to another investor for a slightly less discount and profit on the difference. We are looking to start aggressively looking in the Canton/Woodstock area in Georgia and I am wondering if any of you pros out there can toss any advice our way. We've already started driving around and have list of 20 or so potential leads which we plan on calling starting February. We would really appreciate any advice from you guys.

@Geoff Haughwout if you're going to start out in the Canton/Woodstock area in which you live, I'd encourage you to find some cash buyers first and look at the market data to see where they are buying, what they are buying and how much those buyers are paying for it. I also encourage you to get more than one buyer because individuals may have specific situations preventing them from closing on a transaction when you're ready to close. In the aggregate, though you're more likely to be able to find someone who can close on your timeframe.
