Wholesale Property Websites

Hello Everybody.

I have very basic question, sorry if it has been asked before.

I have seen a number of wholesale property websites that apparently offer very profitable deals. Of course I understand that each deal has to be vetted on its own- however, in general how reliable are these sites? Is it better in any way to deal with a wholesaler who does not use such channels? Is it possible to find reliable wholesalers on the web- meaning not necessarily through craigslist but that have their own websites?
