Belton's Booming School District News
May 29, 2018
BELTON – Belton Independent School District officials broke ground on the $125.6 million Lake Belton High School.
The 394,000-sf campus, near the intersection of Hwy. 317 and FM 2483, will help the district ease overcrowding at its only high school.
Lake Belton High School is expected to open for classes by fall 2020.
The campus, which is being built to accommodate 2,500 students, will have baseball and softball fields, tennis courts, and areas for career and technical education.
Currently, the district has nearly 3,300 students enrolled in its high school and expects that number to rise to 4,500 by 2023.
Templeton Demographics created projections for the district that showed new home sales in Belton have more than doubled since 2014.

@Jim Cummings I don’t think I am familiar with Belton. Where is it?
Belton/Temple is pretty much where I grew up, great to see how much is growing, especially Temple on 31st and on West Adams
