Direct mail wording?

Hey All! I was wondering what the wording looked like on everyone’s postcards? I’m about to order and don’t want to fall into the normal that has been pounded down everyones throats.

Your question is exactly why you should use a variety of delivery pieces. You never know which piece will turn your prospect into a seller.

I have seen very simple and very wordy messages and frankly both work...

I tend to like the wordy for Postcards and typed letters and simple for yellow letters.

One thing I am seeing that is working lately is adding a personal touch. Family photo or you and your dog.. That said you will still want to mix it up...

So many postcards repeat the same thing - I WILL BUY YOUR PROPERTY FAST FOR CASH AS IS

You should consider a softer approach like "Selling your house can be easier than you think". The benefits of working with you will differ based on the audience. Seniors will appreciate that they don't have to fix up their house and have strangers traipsing through, invading their privacy. Absentee Owners have different hot spots.

My experience is that sellers don't save all of the mailers they receive and one day line them up on the kitchen table and say "I like that one, I think I'll call him and dump the rest into the circular file". This isn't a beauty pageant.

The truth is they all get dumped into the circular file, if they aren't anywhere near ready and nothing changes that except a ridiculously high offer or simply time. That is why it is a "numbers" game.

Rather, it is timing. If yours is the one they get when it's the right time for them to sell, they will call you once, not twice. You have to pick up the phone or that lead is gone.

It does have to be readable and too much print gets  "too long, didn't read" response. The print has to be big enough for an old guy with glasses to read or it's a wasted mailer. If you can show them the benefits of how you can solve their problem, that goes a long way. @Logan Miller Just try to make your targets feel like you are genuinely trying to help them. Distressed sellers will need this treatment the most and that is where you will find most success. Try something like, "Having trouble with your home? Look no further to get all the help you need." I hope this example made sense to you.
