Well, @Jerryll Noorden, I disagree.  I can't even begin to count the number of deals and connections that have happened at my own Black Diamond events.  The actual connection to the person is more important than the deal that may or may not be sold at a meeting.    

Why do you think so many successful investors start their OWN meetings?  Just so they can waste time?  I'm talking free meetings where they are not selling product or memberships.  They want to meet people.  

Do successful wholesalers have their own lists and sell to just a few people on a regular basis without going to meetings?  Absolutely.  But there are many people who do their own marketing for deals, and keep some deals and sell the rest, and those can happen both at events and in private. Meeting some of those people is the key.  

And someone looking to expand their network on a forum with a request that received no answers has to start somewhere.  Nothing wrong with starting at a meeting.
