Where Do Skip Tracing Companies Get Data?

Question

Anyone have the insight as to where companies like batchskiptracing.com get their data?  I get that they get it from credit bureaus... but who have they contacted and how much have they paid to get access to this phone and address data?

Hey Bryce. It depends on the type of skip trace company. A lot of companies scrape the internet to see what data they can find. They may even use companies that do that.

The best skip trace companies get their data at the credit bureau level. There are also high level databanks that they'll cross reference the data against to get addition data points.

Hey @Bryce DeCora, the company I work for actually skip traces and produces data at that level. It is 15cents per address. you can upload a list or copy and paste a single address and it gives you that data immediately back.You can also look at TLO, IDI or LexisNexis. People will often comp us with these guys. They supply the credit bureau with their data. I'm not a 100% on how they source their data

@Bryce DeCora I've had the same questions and gone down this rabbit hole too many times and tried out dozens of companies for skip tracing. I've given up on actually figuring out the answer at the moment lol so let me know if you find the secret sauce. FYI, out of the skip tracing companies, Lead Sherpa is my favorite at the moment. Mojo is decent, and unlimited skipping at $40-50/mo - it's not the most accurate though.
