listsource list updates?

wondering how often do you guys/girls repurchase you data list on average?

got my first target area list for my first letters to be sent, and i've read multiple time about sending to a particular list multiple times in a few months span.

do you update the list after 3,4,5 direct mailings or is it a certain amount of months/year(s)?

looking forward to read your opinions.

I haven't used Listsource in quite some time - I compile my own lists.

Regardless of whether people actually re-purchase the same list again or not, it's part of Listsource's agreement.

Do people really pay again for the same list?

I am trying to understand why they would not let you just use the same addresses once purchased to mail again...

I believe Melissa Data does not work like List Source, they let you use the list as many time as you would like.

I am evaluating these two to decide which one will work better, or which would be more convenient.

You'll need to re-purchase your list from Listsource every time you mail to it.

if i purchase a list of target zip code today, when would you purchase the same target zip code list again?

Do mean as far as leads on motivated sellers, vacant property owners, how often to re-mail to those that haven't respond or how often to add to the list? I'm trying to understand what you are talking about.
