Hey guys,

How do you determine the amount of Umbrella insurance you take?

How did you determine your limit?

My properties are in an LLC

Thank you in advance.

I work with a lot of investors and my advice would simply be to just look at all of your assets that you need to protect. If you look at your Portfolio and it is worth 2.5 Million to you then make sure you have between $3 and $4 Million in total coverage. If you have a General Liability policy covering your LLC (You should) then you can buy a $1 Million Umbrella policy for less than $300 Annually in most cases.
