Difficulty insuring a duplex while renting one half and living in the other
Im having some difficulty finding reasonably priced insurance for a duplex I'm currently occupying and renting the other half. I have been rejected by every insurance company I've contacted (approximately 12 which is all the companies I could find to call) except for one which is charging me a predatory rate of about three times what I was expecting. Has anyone encountered this issue? Does anyone have a recommendation? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
