Neighbor's Tree Damaging Driveway

Hello BP Family,

Wishing I could post pictures of the damage but it's been nearly two years since i've owned my property and my neighbors tree is wrecking the driveway. The roots have lifted the driveway about 2 inches since i've lived here and seems to be getting worse. I have two units in the back lot and at this point I'm thinking this might be a severe safety tripping hazard on top of the other hazards associated to the house/plumbing/foundation. I live in los angeles california, does anyone know if I can get the owner to help pitch into getting rid of the tree and possibly repairing/repaving the driveway?
