What amounts of insurance coverage (workman's comp, auto liability, and commercial general liability) are BP members requiring their General Contractor's to carry on rehab projects?

We were able to get high liability insurance coverage during my son's new build regardless of what the contractor is required to hold & must be presented to the Town Bldg Inspector before permits are pulled.

My concern was the new archaic NY State scaffold law(s).

Then when I saw young kids roofing three stories up (for one of the subs) without harnesses I threatened to throw them all off the property.
