Does anyone have any favorite sites they use for getting quotes and comparing multiple Homeowner's Insurance Policies, or do you prefer to just call around?

Rebecca,

My advise is always to seek out Multiple Independent Agents.  Preferably ones who have many companies they represent and who handle both Personal & Commercial policies.  The Commercial is important later if you get into new construction, remodel & flip or hold, or 5+ unit properties.

With rental dwellings, Insurance companies have guidelines on Age, year of updates, condition, loss history, fire protection of the town, etc.  It happens many times that the best coverage and price for one house is with company A while a different house in the next town could be completely different.
