Out of State Self Managing

Tove Fox
Posted

Hello, I recently purchased my first investment in Columbus. I have been very unhappy with how slowly and inefficiently my PM has been listing my units. It's taking too long, the lists don't look professional, they don't list on a variety of sites, and the process for showing a unit is equally tedious. Their lack of effort just doesn't seem worth the value of one month's rent that they charge to lease.

I am considering using a handyman and self-managing. Has anyone done this? Or does anyone know if someone who will take on just listings, showings, and finding tenants?

Thank you in advance!

Hey Tove, as an out-of-state investor, I would not recommend this because these handymen might not be the most reliable people to use.
