First Steps in Out of State Multifamily Investing

My name is Jerry Burns and I am proud to say that I’m taking the first steps in my enterprise of Multifamily real estate investing. It feels like something like kicking a can down the road for so long now but I’m finally ready to get it started.

Right now I’m at the very beginning stages of gathering knowledge, reading the books, and getting into networking with who I need to meet. So after reading a few books on creative finance and Multifamily investing, they all referred me to this website to achieve this. So let’s get started!

I need help from some Finance and Accounting professionals on structuring my new businesses. I’ve done some research myself to get some basics but I will need services and advisement moving forward. But here is my overall strategy.

I have 3 primary business models;

1. Multifamily Real Estate with out-of-state investment in mind (Immediate Future)

2. Government and Non Profit funded housing for Veterans and homeless veterans (Most likely Corporate Lease Agreement structured) (Near Future)

3. Large Multifamily Syndicate Ventures (Later on 5-10 years from now)

How to structure it

Tier 1

Holding Company LLC

Tier 2

Property Management Company LLC (Individual Properties will have subsidiary LLCs under this)

Veteran Housing Company LLC (Any properties funded by the non profits or VA housing entities through corporate lease agreements fall in this company)

Future GP/LP Syndicate LLC

—————————————

Does this look like a proper structure for the enterprise I’m trying to achieve? I have very big goals and even bigger motivation for this long term strategy to create my generational wealth.

I can also break down my timeline and goals for clarification if needed
