Operational Challenges With Scattered-Site Portfolios

One thing I keep coming across is how different operations can be when managing multiple properties across different locations.

For those who own or have owned scattered-site portfolios:

  • What are the biggest operational challenges you’ve faced?
  • How do you keep property management consistent across multiple properties?
  • Have you found it better to centralize management or keep things local?
  • What systems or processes made the biggest difference as you scaled?
  • Are there certain portfolio sizes where operations become significantly more complex?

Trying to get a realistic picture of what it actually takes to manage these effectively.
