Neighborhood research - Charlotte

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone can give me pointers on how they research the neighborhood when investing in a town they are not familiar with. Is there any website that gives you neighborhoood information? In particular, I am currently researching Charlotte for rental houses. I would like to invest in a while collar neighborhood where the numbers still make sense and I can still get some cashflow positive properties. Ideally, I would like to stick to houses under 150K. Thanks!

It is not a complete map, but HERE is a starting point that I have directed other to.  It does a decent job of giving you an overview of parts of Charlotte.  Hope this helps!
